5 Geeky Things About Me
1. I'm a philosophy geek, even though I took Business Information Technology in college. I'm multifaceted like that. “Ever hear of Plato? Aristotle? Morons.” *
* That's a quote from The Princess Bride. I'm not actually calling you a moron. OK, if you haven't heard of Plato or Aristotle, maybe I am. ;-)
2. I'm a Star Trek geek. I'm nearly finished my quest to watch every single Star Trek episode ever produced. I've watched about 560, and I have 36 left to go.
But I'm not just any run of the mill ST geek. Oh no. I boldly go into a room full of fans and declare that Deep Space 9 was the best series of all. Oh, yes I do.
3. I'm an art geek. Michelangelo and Da Vinci and Bougereau make me drool. (Well, I don't actually drool. That's a quick way to get kicked out of the Louvre!) Check out Five Web Design Tips from Michelangelo. See? I told you.
4. I'm a book geek. I'm working on my third novel in the Young Adult fantasy and horror genres. I think that some of the most interesting literature of the past century was written for kids. And I don't just mean Harry Potter. 5. I'm a beauty geek. I love beauty in all its forms — hence the art geek thing — and I really try to bring that love into what I do. That's why I went into design. I took one web design course for my degree and fell in love. That's why this business exists today — I want to bring any beauty I can into the world, and this is my favorite way to do it.
